Lakshyam is a 2007 Tamil action thriller film directed by Raghava Lawrence and starring Raghava Lawrence, Prabhu Deva, Charmee, Kamalinee Mukherjee and others. The film is a remake of the 2006 Telugu film of the same name, which was also directed by Raghava Lawrence and featured Gopichand, Jagapathi Babu and Anushka Shetty in the lead roles. Plot
The film revolves around two brothers, Bose (Raghava Lawrence) and Chandu (Prabhu Deva), who have different personalities and goals in life. Bose is an honest and upright ACP who is dedicated to his duty, while Chandu is a carefree and happy-go-lucky guy who works as a stuntman in films. Bose is in love with Nandini (Kamalinee Mukherjee), a bank employee, while Chandu falls for Pooja (Charmee), a dancer.

Bose's life takes a turn when he is framed for the murder of the bank manager by a notorious criminal named Shankar (Ashish Vidyarthi), who also kidnaps Nandini. Bose goes missing and is presumed dead by everyone. Chandu decides to take up his brother's identity and find out the truth behind his disappearance. He also vows to rescue Nandini and bring Shankar to justice. He is aided by his friend Guru (Raja), a journalist, and Bose's colleague ACP Murthy (Bhanu Chander).
Chandu discovers that Shankar is working for a powerful politician named Pandian (Suman), who is involved in various illegal activities. Pandian wants to eliminate Bose because he has evidence against him. Chandu also learns that Shankar has a brother named Chinna (Yashpal Sharma), who is a ruthless killer. Chandu faces many challenges and dangers as he tries to expose Pandian and Shankar, while also protecting Nandini and Pooja.
The film culminates in a climactic showdown between Chandu and Shankar, where Chandu manages to kill Shankar and rescue Nandini. He also reveals that Bose is alive and has been hiding in a secret location. Bose joins Chandu and they arrest Pandian and Chinna. The film ends with Chandu marrying Pooja and Bose marrying Nandini.

Soundtrack
The film's music was composed by Mani Sharma, who also composed the music for the original Telugu version. The film had six songs, which were written by Pa. Vijay, Na. Muthukumar, Kabilan and Viveka. The songs were sung by Karthik, Harini, Tippu, Anuradha Sriram, Ranjith, Suchitra, Saindhavi and Mani Sharma himself.

Reception
